Manchester United reportedly face competition from Chelsea as they attempt to find a replacement for the outgoing Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
New Red Devils' boss Erik ten Hag has made the decision to sell the ex-Crystal Palace man. His former side are noted to be interested in making a move for the right-back that they sold for £50m just three years ago.
Whilst it remains to be seen if a deal can be done for his services between now and deadline day, any sale would leave United low on right-back options heading into the new season. Diogo Dalot would represent the club's only senior option at the club.
A few options have been looked at regarding a potential successor. Southampton star Kyle Walker-Peters is admired, whilst Lens man Jonathan Clauss has also emerged as a target. According to the Evening Standard, United have 'approached' Clauss, 29, regarding a potential switch to Old Trafford. It is suggested that he could cost only £8m this summer.
Should the Red Devils choose to pursue the Frenchman, then it might not be as easy as first perceived. Chelsea are also noted to be admirers of Clauss and have been conducting extensive scouting on him and could choose to make a move should they let Cesar Azpilicueta go this summer - the Spaniard having been strongly linked with a move to Barcelona.

The competition does not end there though, with Atletico Madrid also considering a move as they try and sign a replacement for Kieran Trippier - the Englishman having joined Newcastle United in the January transfer window.
Ligue 1 club Marseille are also attempting to secure Clauss' signature and have already had a bid rejected by current side Lens. The right-back currently has just a year remaining on his current deal and is seen as an excellent option as both Chelsea and Man Utd attempt to bolster their defences even further this summer.
The Red Devils have already signed Feyenoord's Tyrell Malacia, whilst they are closing in on a deal for Ajax star Lisandro Martinez - the Argentine now sitting out team training with the Dutch side.
Elsewhere, Chelsea are on the verge of completing a deal for Napoli stalwart Kalidou Koulibaly. They are also interested in buying another centre-back this summer with Thomas Tuchel having held discussions with Paris Saint-Germain star Presnel Kimpembe.
One man who will not be making a move to Stamford Bridge this summer though is Nathan Ake. The Dutchman has been linked with a switch to Chelsea but the decision has been made for him to stay at the Etihad Stadium.
