With the international break currently taking place, the men's side were not in action leaving the opportunity for the women's team to play at Old Trafford.
Whilst they played at the famous ground last season against West Ham, a match they won 2-0, it was held without spectators because of COVID-19 protocals.
But with the welcome return of fans this season, the women's team had the opportunity of playing in front of them and they did not disappoint.
However, it wasn't a perfect script as they were hoping for when the Toffees took an early lead following a fine counter-attack.
In the third minute, right-winger Claire Emslie produced a superb finish into the bottom left past Mary Earps after being released by Kenza Dali.
And for much of the first half, the visitors proved to be a tough nut to crack but the home side eventually got through.
Ten minutes until half-time, Alessia Russo's fine header got the hosts back on terms after an excellent cross from Ona Batlle.
The hosts then turned the game around early in the second half after Martha Thomas was tripped by Lucy Graham in the penalty area.
Katie Zelem stepped up and smashed the ball into the top right giving Everton goalkeeper Sandy MacIver no chance.
And the game was then put beyond all doubt when Russo got her second of the match with a towering header from Zelem's in-swinging corner.
It's a big result for Man United who consolidate their position in third, which is the last Champions League spot.
They are three points and one place above fierce rivals Man City who have a game in hand.
For Everton, they remain in ninth, but are well clear of 12th and last placed Birmingham.
