Stjepan Tomas handed in his resignation after suffering his first defeat as manager of FC Sheriff over the weekend.

Tomas only took charge of the club during the summer but had enjoyed a bright start, with the 1-0 loss to Petrocub being their only defeat in domestic competitions this term.
However, speaking to the media after the game, the 46-year-old hinted the defeat was in fact down to the team being distracted by Thursday's trip to Old Trafford.

Tomas even hinted that this was his fault and took the blame for the defeat himself before quitting his role.
He said: "It seems that the players were thinking about the match in Manchester, there was no concentration. This is my mistake."
It remains to be seen whether Sheriff will have a new manager in place before they travel to Manchester this week in the penultimate match of their Europa League group stage campaign.
As it stands, Sheriff are sitting third in Group E, with United sitting in second place and able to guarantee their progress to the next round if they avoid defeat against the Moldovan side.
