Saturday was a day to forget for Manchester United, losing 2-0 to bitter rivals City.
The defeat was a fourth in the last six Premier League games for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side. And it will only turn up the heat on the Norwegian as supporters grow restless at the gap between them and their top flight rivals.
Away from Old Trafford, Saturday also saw a clutch of United's youngsters in action for their loan clubs either in the Championship or in the first round proper of this season's FA Cup.
Here, Mirror Sport runs the rule over how the United contingent fared.

Ethan Laird
Laird endured a quiet afternoon as Swansea City were put to the sword in a 4-0 defeat away at Championship leaders Bournemouth.
He started lively but in truth it was an off-day for him and his teammates as the Swans fell to a heavy defeat.
Laird has enjoyed a positive spell in Wales so far, with three assists to his name for Russell Martin's side.
James Garner
Garner is in his second spell at Nottingham Forest but started yesterday's 3-0 win over Preston on the bench.
He came off for the final quarter and showed some classy touches, helping Steve Cooper's side see out the closing stages of a win that extended their fine run. Forest have now lost just once in their last ten outings.
Some Forest fans have been slightly critical that Garner's spell has not been as prolific as last season but Cooper sympathises.
He recently said: "Last year's loan was really important for him. Time at United was obviously really important for him in pre-season. And now he's got another important period for him, where he will benefit - but obviously we will benefit as well, from having him here.
"He's very much part of what we're doing here.
"He's a good guy. And, from speaking to him, he was really keen to come back, which shows he really enjoyed his time at the club."
Di'Shon Bernard
It was a day to enjoy for Bernard and his Hull City colleagues as they sealed a much-needed three points against Championship drop rivals Barnsley.
Hull won 2-0 at Oakwell with Bernard playing the full 90 minutes and contributing to a clean sheet - his fourth so far in his loan spell.
Despite the vital victory against one of their drop rivals, Hull remain three points from safety.
Ethan Galbraith
Galbraith recently earned a senior Northern Ireland call-up thanks to his stellar form on loan at League One side Doncaster.
Saturday saw the 20-year-old play the full 90 minutes as Richie Wellens' side sealed a narrow 1-0 victory away at local rivals Scunthorpe.
He was his usual bustling and busy self in the engine room and will now be looking forward to getting some game time against Lithuania and Italy later this month.
Nathan Bishop
Bishop, whose unusual role at Old Trafford has seen him deployed as a 'practice squad' player, was a giant-killer on Saturday.
He kept a clean sheet as Mansfield sealed a 1-0 win over two-time FA Cup winners Sunderland.
He pulled off a clutch of impressive saves as Nigel Clough's side sealed their first away win of the campaign and booked their place in the second round draw.
D'Mani Mellor and Will Fish are both in FA Cup action this weekend. Mellor, on loan at League Two big-spenders Salford City, has to wait until Monday when they travel to Dagenham and Redbridge.
As for Fish, he is in action at 3pm on Sunday when Stockport look to spring a shock away at League One side Bolton.
