"But I can't tell now an expectation, but I think his progress in the rehab is okay.
"It is going according to plan, so definitely we will see him. But not before the international break."
Ten Hag also offered an update on the fitness of Anthony Martial.
The French forward has not featured since the Carabao Cup semi-final clash with Nottingham Forest in January due to a hip injury.

Having returned to training this week, fans will be hoping to see him back in contention against Southampton this weekend, but according to Ten Hag, Martial's return won't be rushed.
The Dutchman said: "Yeah, but I think, all the time, we had a good plan and until now it [didn't] always [work well].
"But he is on his way back, he is back in training, but we will be cautious, yeah."
