The players in question were Antonio Valencia and Juan Sebastian Veron, who recently took part in a legends tournament in Dubai.
Valencia uploaded a picture alongside the former Argentinian midfielder, with the caption: "I met this great player and great person."
Veron instantly replied: "Crack Antonio, good to see you well."
It did not take long for Man United fans to respond, with many urging the pair to return to the club to help turn around their underwhelming campaign.
