A report on international football transfers from 2011 to 2020 has been released by FIFA and the findings are fascinating.
Man City, Chelsea, Man United and Arsenal are the English top-flight's biggest spenders, with the current Premier League champions topping the list of 30 clubs.
The list is comprised solely of clubs from Europe across seven member associations: England (12 clubs), Spain and Italy (five each), Germany (three), France and Portugal (two each) and Russia (one)
The thirty clubs have spent a total of $22.8 billion (£16.57bn) on transfer fees in the period, remarkably representing a share of 47 per cent of the global total.
City have signed a whopping 130 players since 2011, with 59.2 per cent of those transfers arriving for a fee.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are second on the list with 95 incomings and 80 per cent of them arriving for a monetary fee.
However, the Blues' hierarchy will be comforted by the fact that they have received the fourth most in transfer fees over the decade - the only Premier League club in the top ten for returns.
Returning to the biggest spenders, Barcelona, PSG and Real Madrid make up the top five, while Man United are seventh on the list and Arsenal are eighth.
Tottenham complete the top ten while Liverpool are 14th.
