MLS announced its roster of 26 players for the All-Star Game, which for the second consecutive year will be played against a combination of star players from Liga MX. Among the main players who will play in the game are the two Mexican strikers, Carlos Vela and Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez, from LAFC and Los Angeles Galaxy, respectively.
When will MLS All-Stars 2022 be played?
It should be noted that of the 26 players, 12 were chosen by direct fan vote, another 12 were added by request of the coach of the event's host team, Adrian Heath of Minnesota United, and the last two were added by direct appointment of MLS Commissioner Don Garber.
Due to this selection policy, none of the big names who arrived in MLS this summer, including above all LAFC's Welshman Gareth Bale, were included in the All-Star Game to be held on August 10 at Allianz Field in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The teams with the highest representation in this roster are, coincidentally, the leaders in the Eastern and Western Conferences, respectively, both the defending champion NYCFC, as well as the overall leader LAFC, have three representatives in the list.
