Despite falling behind on two occasions, Spain managed to claw back and claim a 2-2 draw in their Nations League clash with Czech Republic on Sunday.
Luis Enrique's men were pushed to the brink by the home side, who opened the scoring after just four minutes of play. Jan Kuchta timed his run perfectly and rolled the ball across for Jakub Pesek, who made no mistake in tapping home.
There were doubts as to whether Kuchta received the ball in an offside position, but after a quick VAR check, replays showed that Dani Carvajal stepped back at the wrong second, keeping the Czech player onside.
The home side did their best to hold off Spain's advances for the rest of the half, but their efforts were thwarted in injury time. Gavi collected a Rodri pass and calmly fired into the bottom corner for his first international goal. The strike also made him Spain's youngest ever goalscorer at 17 years and 304 days.
Substitute Marco Asensio almost made an immediate impact after coming on in the 61st minute, as his left-footed strike got past Vaclik, but thumped back off the base of the post. It proved costly as Czech Republic took the lead just minutes later.
Vaclav Cerny's through ball found its way to Kuchta, and with just Unai Simon to beat, his chipped effort found the back of the net to the delight of the home fans.
However, just when it looked as though the Czechs were set to take home all three points, Spain managed to level proceedings once again. A fine cross from Asensio found the head of Inigo Martinez, with the ball hitting the underside of the bar and just bouncing over the line to salvage a point for Luis Enrique's side.
