Liverpool will be hoping to bounce back from their disastrous start to pre-season following their drubbing against rivals Manchester United when they take on Crystal Palace on Friday.
Jurgen Klopp opted to field three different lineups on Tuesday for his first meeting with Erik ten Hag since the Dutchman's appointment as United manager, though it backfired for Liverpool as they were swept aside in a disappointing 4-0 defeat.
New record signing Darwin Nunez also had a game to forget after coming on as a substitute in his first appearance for the club before missing a glaring opportunity to score. Klopp has since defended the striker and insists there is more to come from his side with Patrick Vieira's Palace up next.

Ox goes close
Oxlade-Chamberlain collects a clever pass from Firmino but it's straight at Guaita, albeit he gathers at the second attempt.
Oxlade-Chamberlain went to the ground immediately after the shot and medics are on to attend to him.

Chance!
Great move culminates with Harvey Elliott scuffing his shot wide, just inside the box. It began with Milner who fizzed a ball into Oxlade-Chamberlain who controlled it well and teed up Elliott.
Straight down the other end Palace break and the ball falls kindly to Mateta in the box but he balloons it well over the bar.

Lull
As ever with these tune-up games, there is a period where not much happens. Eight minutes until the interval.
14:07Ricky Charlesworth
Classy Milner
The veteran is rolling back the years, with dragbacks and round-the-corner passes. Probably tried a bit too much there and gives away a cheap free-kick in the Palace box.

Palace chance
Anderesen rises highest to reach a corner but the centre-half nods wide of Adrian's goal.

Miss!
Great work from Kostas Tsimikas down the flank. He scampers away and hangs up a cross which Firmino heads towards goal but it's deflected behind. Big chance spurned.

Liverpool had upped the ante in the last few minutes and Henderson's fine effort from just inside the box left Guaita with no chance. Can they build on it now?

Chance for Ox
Many thought Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain wouldn't even be at Liverpool again this season - but the England international looks to be a part of Jurgen Klopp's plans for the campaign ahead.
Oxlade-Chamberlain rarely got a look in last term after some rotten luck with injuries in years gone by, with suggestions he could be sold before his contract runs out next summer.
But Klopp recently namechecked the 28-year-old when reeling off his wealth of options as a way of dismissing the theory Liverpool should be looking to sign a midfielder.
Oxlade-Chamberlain may also have more chances to be involved in a more advanced role - which he is accustomed to - after Klopp teased playing a 4-2-3-1 formation more often this season.
It is in the front free where Oxlade-Chamberlain starts today, and he'll be keen to impress his manager in a bid to force his way back into the Liverpool side.

First glimpse of Palace
This game represents Crystal Palace's first outing of pre-season.
After a fine first season under Patrick Vieira - they finished 12th - the Eagles will be looking for more of the same. Transfer-wise it has been a pretty low-key summer so far with midfielder Cheick Doucouré the highest profile arrival after a big-money move from Lens. England goalkeeper Sam Johnstone was also signed from West Brom.
Neither are involved today however, and the Palace boss is also unable to call upon a clutch of other first-team stars, with the likes of Wilfried Zaha, Marc Guehi and Eberechi Eze still back in London.

Key man misses out
Diogo Jota will miss today's bounce game after sustaining an injury during international duty with Portugal last month.
The forward damaged his hamstring. Manager Jurgen Klopp, speaking ahead of today's clash with Palace, said: "Diogo is unlucky. He was not involved [against United] because of an injury he got at the end of his season. He trained yesterday fully and got injured again so that's really not cool but we have to wait for the results."
There is also a doubt over first choice 'keeper Alisson. Klopp added: "He finished the session earlier, was doing the warming up and felt something so now there we have to wait as well."

Klopp backtracks
Jurgen Klopp has backtracked on his previous claim that he would never spend €100m on a player following the capture of record signing Darwin Nunez.
The Reds shelled out that figure to land the Benfica striker, who had a difficult debut after coming on as a sub against United.
But Klopp insisted it was a case of needs-must in negotiations for the Uruguayan, who has the added pressure of trying to help fill the Sadio Mane-shaped void this season.
Klopp said: "When you want to sign a striker as exciting as Darwin in, it's the market and you have to pay the price. I've said so many things in my life and life caught me then later and showed me that my imagination was obviously not clear enough for how quick life can change."
