Liverpool travel to Wolves on Saturday in search of their fourth successive league victory as they aim to keep the pressure on Chelsea and Manchester City above them in the Premier League title race.
The Reds have overcome plenty of injury dilemmas as of late and have welcomed back the likes of Jordan Henderson, Andy Robertson and Diogo Jota in recent games.
Luckily for Klopp, there are no fresh injury concerns ahead of the trip to Molineux but he still has five first teamers recovering from individual problems as things stand.
But there is light at the end of the tunnel, with both Naby Keita and Joe Gomez nearing returns.
Here is all you need to know about the current state of play at Anfield and the expected return dates of those out injured.
Do Liverpool need to strengthen their squad in January? H ave your say in the comments section below.
Naby Keita
Keita has been out of action since being substituted in the 2-2 draw with Brighton last month after suffering with a thigh injury.
However, after missing the game against Everton in midweek, it is hoped that the midfielder can make a return against Wolves on Saturday but he will be monitored until then.
Speaking on Friday, Jurgen Klopp said: "I think from Sunday on, if nothing happens between now and then, [he] should be in contention again."
Joe Gomez
Centre-back Joe Gomez is another who is nearing a return to action after missing out for the past month with a calf injury sustained in training.
Gomez will also face a late decision as to whether or not he will be involved on Saturday, and it would provide a big boost to Klopp's defensive options as the hectic Christmas schedule gets underway.
Klopp said: "It was really nice to see them (Gomez and Keita) in training, they looked brilliant. They will use the next two days and do what they have to do. If nothing happens they should be in contention again."
Roberto Firmino
Roberto Firmino remains out but it is hoped that the Brazilian isn't too far away from making a return to the Liverpool side, although it could be another couple of weeks.
Firmino is still recovering from a hamstring injury he sustained in the Champions League victory over Atletico Madrid at Anfield last month.
In an update last week, Klopp said: "Bobby is good but he is still a couple of weeks away, but he is doing pretty much everything just with the extent of the injury we have to be careful."
Curtis Jones
Curtis Jones still hasn't fully recovered from a freak eye injury he sustained in training before November's international break and it seems as though it will be more of a waiting game than anything else for the Reds.
But it is predicted that an extra week or two may be needed in order to let it heal naturally.
Klopp said: "Curtis is completely fine, but we have to be careful with it and so we cannot rush it."
Harvey Elliot
Harvey Elliot has made great progress since fracturing his ankle against Leeds in September and undergoing surgery on it and could be expected back earlier than originally planned.
However, that won't be anytime in the near future and a date in 2022 is the realistic expectation.
Yet the youngster has been back out on the grass and completing his own individual training as he works his way back to full fitness.
