And now Klopp is ready to welcome back the £37million man to the matchday squad in what will be a huge boost to Liverpool's fading top four hopes.
"He is 100 per cent ready in training," the Liverpool boss told reporters on Friday. "He is completely ready, now we have to reintegrate. He will be in the squad, unless something happens."
Diaz made an immediate impression after arriving at Anfield from FC Porto in January 2022.

But the Reds were rocked when Diaz was sidelined following a challenge by Thomas Partey in the 3-2 defeat at the Emirates on October 9.
Diaz had hoped to make a quicker return from injury but relapsed during a mid-season training camp in Dubai.

The Reds currently sit in eighth place in the table and face a six-way fight for the two remaining Champions League places.
However, with just nine games left to play, Liverpool are 12 points adrift of Newcastle and Manchester United who currently occupy third and fourth place.
Liverpool face a favourable run of fixtures with Nottingham Forest visiting Anfield and a trip to struggling West Ham on the Horizon.
But fixtures against clubs in the bottom half have often been Liverpool's Achilles heel this season and that will need to change starting on Monday, if Klopp's side have any hope of playing Champions League football next term.
