The much-awaited fixture list release day has finally arrived.
Clubs in the Championship, League One and League Two are all awaiting their schedules for the 2022-23 campaign.
Five new clubs enter the EFL, with Burnley, Norwich City and Watford relegated from the Premier League last term whilst Stockport County and Grimsby sealed promotion from the National League.
But that's not all that's happening today. The fixtures being released is just one of three events happening on a busy Thursday.
Later on the draw for the EFL Trophy will take place before the Carabao Cup first round draw brings things to a close.

Last season saw a belting game open up the new season, with Bournemouth and West Brom playing out an entertaining 2-2 draw.
The Baggies came from behind twice to earn a share of the spoils, with Dara O'Shea and Callum Robinson cancelling out strikes from Emiliano Marcondes and Philip Billing.

Things to look out for on EFL release day
The 2022-23 campaign is, believe it or not, just over five weeks away.
The EFL will kickstart on the much earlier weekend of July 30/31 thanks to the first-ever winter World Cup later this year.
For fans of clubs in the Championship, League One and League Two the real countdown always begins when the fixtures are released - and there's not long to wait as they come out on Thursday at 9am. It offers the chance for supporters to start filling out their diaries and calendars in anticipation of a season full of travels.

Carabao Cup ball numbers
The draw for the first round of this year's Carabao Cup takes place on what promises to be a busy day on Thursday.
The proceedings will come on the same day that the league fixtures for the Championship, League One and League Two are released as well as the group stage of the EFL Trophy.
The fixtures are out first, at 9am. The draw for the group stage of the Papa Johns Trophy then takes place at 11.30am, live on Sky Sports. With regards the Carabao Cup, 70 teams will be in the hat for the first round which will also be drawn live on Sky Sports at 2.30pm.

EFL 2022-23 key dates
It may seem as though last season has only just finished, but the new campaign is not that far away.
