The Athletic have revealed an offer is on the table for Andrea Radrizzani to sell the club for around £400million in a deal which will see the club's Elland Road stadium included.
It's understood the club are hoping the takeover gets the green light before 2024.
Leeds' value has skyrocketed since Radrizzani bought them for £45million in 2017, and it's said the full purchase of the club could rise to a fee of as much as £475m.
The NFL franchise currently owns a 44 per cent stake in the Premier League club after they built on their ten per cent ownership in 2018.
Whites boss Marcelo Bielsa has been a big part of the reason why the value of the Yorkshire club has risen.
The Argentine has lifted Leeds from a mid-table Championship side to one comfortable in the top-flight.
His side have had a mixed start to the current campaign, however.
In their last match, they were fortunate to gain a point at home to Brentford as Patrick Bamford came off the bench to rescue a point for his side in a 2-2 draw at Elland Road.
