Lampard has lined up former Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid assistant Paul Clement as part of his backroom team, which will also include Chelsea coach Joe Edwards.
Lampard has moved to bring in a seasoned backroom team, with Clement boasting plenty of top-level experience.
The 50-year-old worked alongside Carlo Ancelotti for a number of years at some of Europe's biggest clubs - Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and PSG.
He has also bossed Derby, Swansea, Reading and, most recently, Cercle Brugge.
It is understood Jody Morris - Lampard's number two at Chelsea - will not join him at the Toffees.
But highly-rated Chelsea coach Edwards is expected to join Lampard on Merseyside.
Lampard will succeed Rafa Benitez at Goodison Park.
The Englishman spent 18 months as manager at Chelsea, where he earned legendary status as a player and won three Premier League titles and the Champions League, before he was sacked last January.
His first game in charge of Everton will be the FA Cup tie against Brentford on Saturday.
Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek will be Lampard's first signing on loan for the rest of the season.
Van de Beek was also being chased by Crystal Palace but has opted to work under Lampard at Everton.
