Lampard lines up two transfers but Everton must wait for Premier League approval

Frank Lampard wants two new signings for Everton - but must wait to see if his club are given the all clear to start spending again by the Premier League.

The Blues boss is a big fan of exciting Southampton full back Kyle Walker-Peters, who has won two caps for England. And he's also keen to bring one of his young Chelsea rising stars, Armando Broja, who was at the club when Lampard was manager at Stamford Bridge.

The 20-year-old has been sent out on loan by his parent club for the past two seasons, enjoying successful spells at Vitesse Arnhem in Holland, and last season at Southampton. Everton would be keen on another loan, but Chelsea are adamant they want a fee for the striker, who can operate down the middle or wide on the left.

But Lampard must wait to see if the Premier League give the all clear to spend again, with the league involved in long-term negotiations with the Goodison club over profit and sustainability rules. The Blues sold Richarlison on the deadline for the past year's financial results, which should allow them to spend in the current season.

And if they are given the all clear, then the Merseyside club will try to agree deals for Broja and Walker-Peters, who can play on either flank at full back, and would be an attractive asset.

Southampton would be loathe to sell, which would mean a big fee for the Mersey club, but if they Premier League allow them to spend again, then Lampard wants to make a splash in the transfer market this summer.

He is also keen on signing a midfielder to strengthen a squad that struggled to survive in the Premier League last season, and he could also look for a forward after the loss of Richarlison.
