Joao Pedro went on to score his seventh penalty in as many spot-kicks to double his side's advantage, whilst Kulusevski picked up his fifth yellow card of the season, meaning he now misses Spurs' clash against Bournemouth on New Year's Eve.
However, Everton fans have been left asking why Kulusevski wasn't punished for a shirt pull on Amadou Onana in Spurs' 2-1 win over the Toffees on December 23.
