A year ago Tyler Morton hadn't even made his senior debut.
Now, with 2022 approaching, the Liverpool youngster could be set for a starring role on four fronts for the Reds.
It has been a whirlwind time for the midfielder who only recently turned 19. He has made his Premier League and Champions League debuts.
And with a clutch of Jurgen Klopp's players either recovering from injury or heading out to the African Cup of Nations next month, the German is likely to need the youngster even more in the second half of the season.
Morton has made a steady if not spectacular start to life in the pro ranks, and it began with a second half introduction at Norwich in an EFL Cup tie.

There, Morton documented his ability to play the number six role.
He said of that first senior outing: "I was confident on the ball at Norwich and I've always played like that. I've never changed, no matter where I've been, and I feel like I was just waiting for that chance to show off what I can do and burst on to the scene out of nowhere."
After impressing against the Canaries, Morton's maiden start came in the next round of the competition at Preston.
He said of that night at Deepdale: "That was a very, very good night for myself.
"I'd thought to myself at the start of the season that if I was going to get my chance it would be in a Carabao Cup game.
"So I realised I needed to focus, to be 100% on it, because if I was selected at Preston it would be my first start in front of the fans and in front of the gaffer, so I really needed to impress and show my abilities.
"I thought it took me a while to get into the game, to be honest, I played quite safe - get the ball, give it on - but when I got into the game I was able to showcase my long-range passing."
Morton, who was speaking to Liverpool's matchday programme, admitted earlier this year that he is a huge admirer of his colleague Thiago Alcantara.
Now, he will be hoping to become a regular fixture in the team alongside his hero.
He added: "I feel like the manager rewarded me for good performances in the Carabao Cup by giving me my Premier League and Champions League debuts.
"Playing in these games is a big step for me in my career, in my life, because Liverpool is the club I love and the club I want to play for the rest of my life.
"Norwich, Preston, Arsenal Porto... they were just massive moments in my career and now I'm striving for more."
With Klopp's side aiming to wrestle back the Premier League title, as well as chasing glory in Europe and in both domestic cups, Morton's enthusiasm and talent could prove more than handy for the Reds.
