Klopp recently announced he is leaving the club at the end of the 2023/24 season.
The German joined the Reds in 2015 and delivered every major trophy during a glittering nine-year spell as manager, including the Premier League and Champions League.
Reds supporters have been left devastated, but the news had an emotional impact on one of Klopp's former players, Keita.
Speaking to RMC Sport, Keita said: "I'm not on the [social] networks but when they told me, I had tears in my eyes. He took me to Liverpool as his son and I consider him my dad.
"I wish him the best for the rest of his life. I'll try to write to him afterwards. Such is life, I bumped into him and I wasn't disappointed. We got trophies."

Keita got his hands on the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup, Community Shield, Super Cup and Club World Cup whilst at the club.
Having spent five years at Liverpool, the midfielder racked up 129 appearances, netting 18 times while contributing seven assists.
