Conte, who has been named as Nuno Espirito Santo's replacement, is set to cost the notoriously frugal Daniel Levy £13million-a-year, but the hole in the Spurs chairman's wallet might not be so painful following these latest Kane reports.
Kane had been set to leave the club last summer in the quest for titles, even making a 'gentleman's agreement' with Levy to be let go if the right bid came in.
However the Spurs chief denied the striker of a £125million transfer to trophy adorning Manchester City, leaving Kane unable to leave north London.
Despite the disappointment of a failed move, Kane appeared to be ready to give Spurs his all ahead of this season, tweeting out that he was '100% focused' as the transfer window slammed shut.
And now, according to reports from The Sun, the Spurs frontman is keen to stay at the club, with silverware likely to be secured under serial winner Conte's leadership.
So far this campaign the 28-year-old has failed to discover the fine form he had seen in recent seasons. He's scored just once so far this Premier League campaign with the prospect of trophy winning dwindling away.
It was surely meant to be, then, that Conte arrived at the club on the 5000th day since Tottenham last won a trophy, reigniting Kane's hopes that he could turn his season around and lift silverware with the club he's been at since 2004.
It's likely that Conte will want to make the most out of Kane and to resurrect his old goalscoring form in the way he did for Romelu Lukaku at Inter Milan.
Back when the 52-year-old was manager of Chelsea in 2017, Conte had said he would've loved to have a player like Kane in his side.
And during Euro 2020, Conte was still singing the striker's praises.
"It's in the box where he's clinical," he said.
"As a coach, I would always keep him in there, because he's devastating".
Of course, if Kane does fail to perform Conte won't be afraid to drop him, given his no tolerance attitude towards slacking players.
Kane has three years remaining on his contract with Spurs, and Conte's appointment may well allow the Spurs man to both reignite the love between him and the Tottenham faithful and, most importantly, finally win some trophies.
