Argentine forward led River Plate to a 4-1 win over Patronato
Manchester City have made a move to secure their future by completing the signing of Julian Alvarez, however the Argentine forward celebrated the move himself by netting a hat-trick against Patronato.
Alvarez will remain with River Plate until the end of the season, and he has corrected the team's disappointing start to the Argentine League Cup.
His hat-trick against Patronato put River Plate back on track, just three points behind the leader, Argentinos Juniors.
The goals catapulted the Manchester City forward to the top of the scoring charts, with the youngster showing his eye for goal.
Boca Juniors were also in action in the tournament, defeating Aldosivi in the second round, with a 2-1 victory coming away from home.
