The incident happened during Peterborough's trip to face Reading in League One - a clash that The Posh won 1-0 thanks to Ephron Mason-Clark's first half goal.
Taking place at Reading's Select Car Leasing Stadium, it's normal for away fans to partake in banterous and sometimes hostile exchanges with the home supporters, but one Peterborough fan took things a little bit too far.
Making his way over the in-crowd segregation, the supporter in question made his way over to the Reading fans and appeared to spit in their direction.
However he got more than he bargained for as upon reaching the railing, the Peterborough supporter lost his balance and went head over heels over the railing and down the stairs.
Stewards then attempted to grab him, before he scuttled back over the railing and seemingly back towards his seat.
