Manager Graham Arnold said after the game: "No celebrations, no emotion, sleep, no social media."
And Irvine echoed his manager but forgot he was live on TV with News Breakfast host Tony Armstrong.
"At the moment there won't be much enjoying going on, I'll be going straight down to start my recovery,' he said.

"Ice baths?' Armstrong asked.
"Yeah literally, just freeze my balls off for a bit, that's the way to enjoy it."
Quickly, though, Irvine realised his error.

He added: "No just full focus on the next one, there'll be a time to reflect… sorry I forgot I am live as well!
"There'll be time to enjoy it at the end of the tournament but we'll just focus on the next one."
With Armstrong laughing in the background, Irvine added: "I need one [ice bath] now, I'm sweating!"
