How the Netherlands could line up against Gibraltar

The Burnley man - currently on loan at Hoffenheim - could be one of several players demoted to the bench, though, as Toulouse's Thijs Dallinga will almost certainly come into contention for his first senior cap this week.

Dallinga could form a part of a new-look attack for the Netherlands' final group battle, as Calvin Stengs and Donyell Malen are candidates to replace Xavi Simons and Cody Gakpo in the wide areas.

Koeman is blessed with plenty of options for change in midfield too, so Mats Wieffer and Teun Koopmeiners should prepare to link arms, although Marten de Roon and Joey Veerman are capable options too.

Ajax defender Jorrel Hato is also eyeing his first start for the national team, but Quilindschy Hartman will likely continue on the left-hand side, while Jordan Teze is in line to demote Denzel Dumfries to the bench on the opposite flank.

Unless Hato is considered for a start in the back three - which is not beyond the realm of possibility given the Netherlands' injury woes in defence - Virgil van Dijk, Stefan de Vrij and Daley Blind are primed to join forces again, potentially shielding Mark Flekken instead of Bart Verbruggen this time.
