The Chelsea star had been tussling with the Foxes' star during the first half at the King Power Stadium when a high swinging boot caught the Germany international in the chest.

The damage done was clear for all to see, as he lifted his shirt to show the marks left by the reckless tackle.
Despite being assessed by the referee, it was decided that Amartey would escape punishment for the foul despite the clear raking injury that was present on Havertz.

But while some players would be left sulking by such an injury, Havertz used it as motivation for a moment of real quality.
With the score level at 1-1, Enzo Fernandez broke into Leicester's final third and clipped a glorious pass over the defence and into the path of Havertz, who timed his run into the box perfectly.
Showing his undoubted grace and quality, Havertz guided a first-time effort over the top of Danny Ward in the Leicester goal and into the back of the net.
It was a touch of class from Havertz and another reminder of exactly what the German star is capable of for Graham Potter's side.
