Sparks flew between Erling Haaland and Alexander Milosevic during the Norway vs Sweden match on Sunday, at least according to Haaland.
The striker scored a brace in his side's 2-1 win and later launched a harsh accusation against the Swedish defender.
"First of all, he called me a whore, and I can safely say that I am not," Haaland explained on TV2 Norway after the clash.
"Secondly, he said he was going to break my legs. Then, after a minute and a half, I scored. That was good."
The Norwegian celebrated his second goal at the Friends Arena in front of Milosevic and then told the Swedish fans to shut up.
Milosevic denies Haaland's accusation
Milosevic's version of events do not tally with Haaland's. The defender claims he said nothing close to what the striker accuses him of.
"I didn't say that," Milosevic said.
"It's quite rude to say what he says, because I don't speak Norwegian and he doesn't speak Swedish, so I don't know how we communicated.
"I don't speak English on the pitch, so it's strange that he says things I didn't say."
The defender also claimed there was no tension on the pitch between them during the match.
"No, not really, to be completely honest, I've played games where I've been angrier," he said.
Haaland is unstoppable
Haaland, meanwhile, remains unstoppable for Norway. The striker scored both goals in the win over Sweden, and was also on target against Serbia a few days ago.
The striker has now scored 18 goals in 19 international matches for the senior side.
