In the last two seasons we have seen English strikers Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy obtain the golden boot, both netting 23 goals.
This year however, the odds are suggesting two new(ish) faces to the Premier League may take the award.
Those two of course are Ronaldo and Lukaku.
Both have enjoyed impressive starts to life back in England and lead their top-flight rivals at the bookies.
See below the later rundown of who could be in contention for this season's Golden Boot.
Who are the favourites to win the Golden Boot?
Romelu Lukaku and Cristiano Ronaldo - 11/4
Mohamed Salah - 11/2
Harry Kane - 10/1
Bruno Fernandes - 16/1
Jamie Vardy - 20/1
Dominic Calvert-Lewin - 22/1
Sadio Mane - 22/1
Danny Ings - 22/1
Diogo Jota - 22/1
Son Heung-Min - 25/1
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - 25/1
Michail Antonio - 33/1
Gabriel Jesus - 33/1
Ronaldo won the Golden Boot with 31 goals in the 2007/08 season and will be eager to do so again this term.
Lukaku is yet to claim the honour but has been superb since returning to Chelsea over the summer.
Tottenham star Kane, who has three Golden Boots to his name, is a surprisingly hefty 10/1 to win it again following his summer of transfer speculation.
Liverpool's Mohamed Salah is seemingly the closest challenger to Ronaldo and Lukaku and he's already won the award twice.
Other names in the mix include Vardy again, Ronaldo's United team-mate Bruno Fernandes, Everton's Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Liverpool duo Sadio Mane and Diogo Jota and new Aston Villa star Danny Ings.
