As his teammates rejoiced in beating Real Madrid, Ibrahima Konate stayed down with a knee injury and eventually hobbled off gingerly. Slot has now conceded that the Frenchman will spend a few weeks on the sidelines, meaning that a return before Christmas is unlikely.

Conor Bradley

Status: Out

Type of injury: Hamstring

Possible return date: December 26 (vs. Leicester City)

Likewise, Conor Bradley suffered a hamstring concern in the win over Carlo Ancelotti's men, where he was a standout performer, and he will not return for a short while either.

Kostas Tsimikas

Status: Out

Type of injury: Ankle

Possible return date: December 26 (vs. Leicester City)

Left-back Kostas Tsimikas is on the way back from an ankle injury sustained in a recent training session, and the Greek should also not return to first-team action for at least another fortnight.

Diogo Jota

Status: Out

Type of injury: Abdominal

Possible return date: December 14 (vs. Fulham)

Diogo Jota is closer to returning from his abdominal problem than the aforementioned trio, but the trip to Girona should just come a little bit too soon for him.

Alisson Becker

Status: Out

Likewise, first-choice goalkeeper Alisson Becker will be ready "very soon" as he enters the final stages of his hamstring recovery, but Caoimhin Kelleher will continue in between the posts for now.

Federico Chiesa

Federico Chiesa has been earning some minutes with the Under-21s as he bids to return to full fitness, so a return here cannot be ruled out, even if he will not come into contention for a start.

Alexis Mac Allister

Return date: December 18 (vs. Southampton)

Alexis Mac Allister - who is also suspended for Liverpool's next Premier League game - picked up his third yellow card of the 2024-25 UCL against Real Madrid and is banned for the showdown with Girona.
