Gianluigi Donnarumma has vowed to get a temporary AC Milan tattoo made permanent - despite a frosty reception at the San Siro.
The Italian goalkeeper left his boyhood club in the summer having shunned a new contract in Milan, moving to PSG on a free transfer.
Following his acrimonious exit, Donnarumma starred for the Azzurri as they claimed European Championship glory for just a second time in 52 years - winning player of the tournament in the process.
But fans of the Rossoneri have no forgiven the young stopper for what they see as an act of betrayal, and he was booed as he returned to his former home as they played Spain in the Nations League.
Italy's record-setting unbeaten run came to an end and their goalkeeper's woes were added to by a difficult return, Donnarumma was twice beaten by Ferran Torres as 10-man Italy were undone.

Donnarumma's vow
The goalkeeper allowed a Milan crest to be printed on his arm whilst appearing appearing on the Le lene TV show over the weekend.
As the interview was ending, the reporter asked: "When you get to Paris, you go to a tattoo artist and make it permanent?"
to which Donnarumma replied: "We'll see, we'll see… Ok, alright then!"
The goalkeeper's every touch was jeered by the San Siro crowd but he underlined his affection for the Milan faithful and hoped they would change their tune next time.
"I will always love them. I will always have a Rossonero heart," he claimed.
"There is a bit of disappointment with the whistles. I spent eight years at Milan and it's always an emotion to come back to San Siro. I grew up here and I remain a supporter of the club.
"You don't forget eight years like that… I hope to be better welcomed next time."
Why do the fans have an issue with Donnarumma?
At just 16 the goalkeeper made his Milan debut having come through the youth ranks.
The Rossoneri have experienced a sharp fall from grace in the last decade but appear to be on their way back up.
Donnarumma was expected to be a long-term star with several Milan legends playing at the club for life.
A banner warned Italy's No 1 he'll 'never be welcome here again.'
Their former goalkeeper has not followed that trend though after things became complicated during contract negotiations.
Donnarumma is represented by super agent Mino Raiola, who played a pivotal role in his move to Paris.
The Italian was the third-highest paid goalkeeper in the world on a reported £195,000-per-week and Milan couldn't offer him much more and as a result pastures new were sought.
Legendary coach Arrigo Sacchi made his feelings clear and told Gazzetta dello Sport: "I can't hide my sorrow. If he was happy with Milan, the club that made him grow and valued him, then he had to stay.
"In life, it is important to show gratitude towards those who gave you an important chance and this was an opportunity to demonstrate it. Also, the club had offered him a rich contract. So I ask myself: why go away? Why force the situation?"
