Xabi Alonso's Leverkusen kick off their preparations for the second half of 2022/23 with a five-day visit to the USA, where they will play a friendly against newly formed MLS team St. Louis City. The game is scheduled to take place on 16 November, and will serve as the inauguration of the Missouri-based club's new stadium.

As well as taking on Cologne, Stuttgart will attend American Football and basketball matches. Like the Billy Goats, they'll be based at MLS club Austin FC's St. David's Performance Center. Local youngsters can also take part in VfB football school camps. The tour is part of the DFL's internationalisation strategy for the Bundesliga.
