After beating the Lion City Sailors 7-2 in Singapore on 24 November, Dortmund followed that with a 4-1 win over the Johor Southern Tigers in Malaysia on 28 November. BVB were then beaten 2-1 by the Vietnam national team after a late penalty in Hanoi on 30 November. Team events in the local community and player meet-and-greets were also on the menu for the five-time Bundesliga winners.

Frankfurt contested the Saitama City Cup against Urawa Red Diamonds, losing 4-2 in Toyko. That was before their second game in Japan, which ended in a 2-1 defeat to Gamba Osaka. Winter training, as well as local, cultural and fan exchanges completed the UEFA Europa League holders' busy schedule.

Xabi Alonso's Leverkusen kicked off their preparations for the second half of 2022/23 with a five-day visit to the USA, where they played a friendly against newly formed MLS team St. Louis City. Die Werkself won the game 3-0 as part of the inauguration of the Missouri-based club's new stadium.

Cologne set up camp at Austin FC's training base and played an exhibition match at the Texan club's Q2 Stadium, losing out 4-2 to Bundesliga rivals VfB Stuttgart after trailing 4-0 at half-time. Fan and marketing events also took place as part of the Billy Goats' first stateside visit, organised in conjunction with the Deutsche Fußball Liga (DFL).

As well as registering a morale-boosting 4-2 win in an exhibition match over Cologne, Stuttgart will attend American Football and basketball matches. Like the Billy Goats, they were based at MLS club Austin FC's St. David's Performance Center. Local youngsters also took part in VfB football school camps. The tour is part of the DFL's internationalisation strategy for the Bundesliga.

Representing the DFL, German football and HSV internationally, the Red Shorts returned to the USA for the first time in 22 years. Tour highlights included a friendly against Orange County Soccer Club in Irvine, California on 15 November, which the Bundesliga 2 side won 1-0.
