And that even includes an innocent Q&A, where he was asked who his favourite midfielder from outside the so-called top six clubs is.
Replying with a wink emoji, Neville wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: "Mac Allister at Liverpool."
If the former defender was looking to rile up some Liverpool fans, it worked a treat.
One fan replied: "@GNev2 Finally admitting Mac's better than Fernandes, Casemiro, Eriksen…"

And another wrote: "LFC are currently fourth and finished fifth last season so it doesn't even work as banter."
While a third said: "Gary your team is in eighth place."
But perhaps the biggest bite Neville was after was his Sky Sports partner Jamie Carragher, who often likes to get involved in X spats with his old pal. But at the time of writing, it's not been forthcoming.
Neville answered a number of other questions including one that asked who he thought would win the Premier League, choosing Arsenal ahead of Manchester City.

He also hit out at the Glazers when asked what is United's biggest problem right now, saying: "The ownership and poor football management at the club."
And the ex-England international is not fancying his side to make it to the top four, saying that he believes the Red Devils will finish sixth this season.
United have certainly had a tough start to the campaign, losing four of their opening nine matches in the Premier League.
They currently sit eighth while Liverpool, who Neville poked fun at, have had better success and sit fourth with 20 points from nine games.
