Friday's League of Ireland predictions including Finn Harps vs. Shamrock Rovers

Bohemians vs. Derry (Friday, 7.45pm)

Derry City will look to ramp up their pursuit of a place in the top two of the League of Ireland Premier Division table on Friday, when they travel to take on Bohemians.

A victory over University College Dublin last time out saw the visitors move within one point of Dundalk, while their hosts remain sixth after a defeat last week.

Bohemians have failed to establish any real consistency so far this season, while their visitors will be desperate for another victory in their fight at the top end of the division, and, on the back of a return to winning ways last time out, we see Derry prevailing narrowly on Friday.

Dundalk vs. UCD (Friday, 7.45pm)

Two sides at opposite ends of the League of Ireland Premier Division table will square off on Friday, as Dundalk host basement team University College Dublin.

A draw last time out saw the home team drop 10 points behind league leaders Shamrock Rovers, while the visitors suffered their 13th league defeat of the season.

We say: Dundalk 2-0 University College Dublin

Keen to return to winning ways, Dundalk will have their eyes on Friday as a good opportunity to pick up three points, and they should have too much for the visitors.

UCD have struggled to keep pace since returning to the top flight, and we see them being outclassed on their travels.

St Patrick's vs. Drogheda (Friday, 7.45pm)

St Patrick's Athletic will be attempting to get back to winning ways at the first time of asking after suffering a defeat in their last outing when they host Drogheda United.

The visitors are currently sitting just above the relegation zone, and even though they do have a 10-point gap on the team below them, they will not be wanting to get dragged into a late panic.

Away from home Drogheda United have struggled a lot throughout this campaign, but the recent form that they have found could make them a threat in this particular game.

St Patrick's are much higher in the league table and they will be wanting to push themselves into the top three, but a seeing both teams share the points is how things could end up.

Finn Harps vs. Shamrock (Friday, 8.00pm)

Two teams at opposite ends of the Ireland Premier table will meet on Friday when Finn Harps welcome league leaders Shamrock Rovers to Finn Park.

The hosts will be hoping to put further pressure on those outside of the relegation zone, while the visitors aim to maintain or extend their gap at the top of the division.

Shamrock Rovers might have struggled away from home overall this season, but they are a stronger squad overall and that should lead to them taking all three points here.

The hosts are attempting to push themselves out of the relegation zone, but this could end up being a difficult fixture for them to achieve that.
