The reigning Europa Conference League champions travelled to Greece on Thursday looking to carry on their 17-game unbeaten run in Europe, but lost 2-1.
One section of the Hammers' away fans had an unexpected start to their experience of the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium.
Footage posted on social media shows a coach carrying away supporters pull up in to a car park by the ground.
They were welcomed in by a security guard, who was stood by the bus as it started to edge through the entrance.
However, the bus accidentally crashed into the fencing, knocking the security guard off his feet in the process.

After stumbling backwards and being launched on to the floor, the security guard got back up and dusted himself off, returning back to his position completely unharmed.
The crash was perhaps a sign of things to come, with West Ham ending up leaving Greece empty handed as Olympiakos secured a 2-1 win to bring an end to the Hammers' European streak.
Kostas Fortounis and Rodinei found the net for the home side, with Lucas Paqueta scoring what turned out to be a consolation goal for the Hammers.
West Ham remain top of Group A despite the defeat, level on points with SC Freiburg.
