Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata is the most recent name to be associated with the controversial leaked audio files from Real Madrid President Florentino Perez.
Spanish publication El Confidencial are behind the release of the audio clips, in which Perez can be heard saying a number of damaging things about Los Blancos legends past, including describing long-time number one goalkeeper Iker Casillas and star-striker Raul as two of the 'biggest frauds' in the club's entire history.
Perez has already hit back, claiming his comments were deliberately taken out of context and has confirmed he will take legal action against the newspaper.
That threat has surprisingly not deterred them from releasing more, with the most recent clip involving former Chelsea and current United midfielder Mata, who worked his way through the academy at Madrid to play 39 times for the relegated Castilla side before eventually being sold to Valencia in 2007.
It was from there where Chelsea eventually bought the midfielder, where he would go on to win the Premier League, Champions League, Europa League and one of his two FA Cups as well as huge success at international level.
Mata won both the World Cup in 2010 and the European Championship in 2012 as part of the best Spanish national side ever.
The audio reveals how Perez has not forgiven then Real Madrid B manager Michel for, in his view, forcing Mata out of the club.
Michel himself is a Real Madrid icon, making more than 550 appearances for the club between 1981 and 1996, placing him joint tenth in the club's all-time appearance list alongside Karim Benzema.
However, he could not translate his success as a player into management, his time at the helm of Real Madrid's B side a failure as he led to them to relegation to Segunda Division B, while boasting a feeble 30% win ratio with a youth squad that not only included Mata but also Alvaro Negredo, Marcelo, Jose Callejon and Dani Parejo.
The leaked audio dates back to 2009, as Perez can be heard blaming Michel for the Castilla side's failings as well as accusing the coach of forcing Mata out of Madrid in order to play his son, Adrian.
"I think Michel is the one who made the hole for Mata [to leave], he is the one who threw him out of Real Madrid Castilla to put his son in the team," claims Perez. "He is a fraud!"
A tape from three years earlier reveals Perez' thoughts on Michel as a coach even further, where he can be heard claiming "He is a very bad coach, a guy who has done nothing. He is not a coach."
