Frankfurt were hitting their stride before international football took over, beating Hertha Berlin and Bochum before sharing a 0-0 draw with RB Leipzig on Matchday 27. They also saw off Real Betis in the UEFA Europa League to set up a mouth-watering showdown with Barcelona in the quarter-finals. The Eagles are now just six points off a European place and Oliver Glasner's team look to have finally found their groove. They will now be hoping that the front three of Borre, Daichi Kamada and Jesper Lindstrom - who have all scored in Frankfurt's three most recent matches - can go on a bit of a run after an inconsistent year in attack. At the other end, Kevin Trapp's recent good form continued for Germany as he saved a last-minute penalty in the win over Israel, but Frankfurt must do without suspended defender Martin Hinteregger.
Fürth's own mid-season renaissance has given way in recent weeks and their five game stretch without a win has left them behind in last place. There are now 10 points between them and second-bottom Arminia Bielefeld and they're 11 back from the promotion/relegation play-off place of 16th. It leaves coach Stefan Leitl needing a minor miracle to keep the Clover Leaves in the division but they are certainly not giving up just yet - as evidenced by the spirited 0-0 draw with high-flying Freiburg last time out. Skipper Branimir Hrgota will again lead the fight in Frankfurt, but Fürth will still be without Paul Seguin and Sebastian Griesbeck. There is hope, however, that Jeremy Dudziak may be fit enough to feature after missing the last two matchdays through injury, while Luca Itter is available again.
Match stats
Borre has scored in just two of his home appearances in the Bundesliga, compared to four away.
Only Hoffenheim's David Raum has put in more crosses from open play (154) than Filip Kostic (145) this season.
Frankfurt have scored twice or more on home soil just once this Bundesliga season (5-2 against Bayer Leverkusen on Matchday 15).
Hrgota has a team-leading eight goals in 27 Bundesliga appearances for Fürth. He struck six times in 35 top-flight games in Frankfurt colours.
Fürth forward Julian Green was a teammate of Frankfurt defender Timothy Chandler as the USMNT reached the 2014 FIFA World Cup round of 16 under Jürgen Klinsmann.
The current Greuther team rank as the fifth worst in Bundesliga history after 27 matches (14 points).
