Borre was the provider of Daichi Kamada's opener in the 1-1 draw at Augsburg last weekend as the Colombian continued his superb run of form in front of goal. He's now been involved, one way or another, in eight of their last 14 goals, but Frankfurt have hit a bit of a road bump since the Bundesliga restart. They went into the New Year with the wind at their sails following three straight victories that closed out the Hinrunde, but Oliver Glasner's side haven't won in 2022. The late capitulation to Borussia Dortmund on Matchday 18 was followed by the Augsburg draw and Glasner will be hoping to reignite his side's European bid as soon as possible. Victory over Bielefeld could move his team as high as fourth. Danny Da Costa, Filip Kostic and Kevin Trapp all missed the trip to Augsburg, with Almamy Toure, Timothy Chandler and Diant Ramaj filling in. The aforementioned trio were all back in training this week and looking to prove their fitness in time for Friday's fixture.
A 1-1 result in the Matchday 3 reverse was Bielefeld's third successive draw at the start of the campaign that formed a run of 10 games without a win. Things have picked up since, though, with Okugawa's red-hot form helping Arminia go four games unbeaten across the turn of the year (W2, D2). The Japanese attacking midfielder has scored in all four games, with Frank Kramer's men scoring twice in each of those games. Having seen Okugawa give his side an eighth-minute lead over rock bottom Greuther Fürth last time out, the Bielefeld tactician would have hoped his side could have gone on to put further daylight between the two but had to settle for a 2-2 draw instead. They had to rescue that point in the end, too, with new signing Gonzalo Castro eventually salvaging an 83rd-minute equaliser in just his second appearance for the club. A first start in midfield is still unlikely for Castro after six months out of the game, while Nathan de Medina is the only doubt in an otherwise fully-fit squad.
Match stats
Borre has produced four goals and four assists across his last six Bundesliga outings. He scored twice in his first 13.
Kostic has also contributed 10 goals, a team-high seven assists among them.
At the other end, though, Frankfurt have kept just two clean sheets in nine home matches this Bundesliga season.
Okugawa has scored in four successive league matches for the first time in his career. Nine is his personal best for a single campaign, for Red Bull Salzburg in 2019/20.
Bielefeld could be as many as eight points worse off without Okugawa's contribution of seven goals and one assist.
Arminia are winless in their last eight Bundesliga meetings with Eintracht and haven't won in Frankfurt since 11 November 2006 - their only victory in 14 trips to date.
