The Toffees slumped to a 4-1 defeat at the Vitality Stadium, with talkSPORT's David Connolly saying 'a team of kids' would've played better than the players Lampard selected.

Jamal Lowe's deflected strike opened the scoring before Junior Stanislas doubled the lead of the hosts early in the second half.
Substitute Demarai Gray pulled one back with a fine curling effort before Bournemouth grabbed a third and fourth through Emiliano Marcondes and Jaidon Anthony respectively.

Toffees fans reacted angrily after the final whistle and Connolly suggested that they have every right to be.
Reacting to Everton's abject performance, Connolly said on commentary for talkSPORT: "A team of kids would've done better than that.
"I saw Gary O'Neil affecting things, making subs but at times I didn't see that from Frank Lampard.
"A lot of the Everton fans are giving them a piece of their mind because they were dreadful. Performances like that leave big question marks.

"The manager hasn't gone over to address the fans because he knows he would probably just get a volley (of abuse)."
Lampard was upset with the performance of his players before suggesting that this season could take on a similar pattern as it did last season.
He told talkSPORT: "It was poor, a lot of changes, but the rally of my job is that we want to win every game we play, we want to win every game when you put the shirt on for the players.

"It is my job when you go through a season and players are not playing so many minutes, some are not happy with that, and will knock on your door, and are doing well in training so are deserved a chance, they have to accept situations, and when they get chances, make the best of it.
"That is the case with Gary [O'Neil] as well. We treated the game with a lot of respect, there was not a lot of experience in our team tonight, but I learned a lot from the performance, it was clear, I don't think you need to go through the performance.
"Particularly the manner of the goals and the chances we do not take, you're not going to win games at any level like that.

"You have to earn the shirt and play well to earn it, I am not questioning anyone's personality or insides when I am talking here, but can I question that performance when you get the opportunity? Sure I can
"As a squad, we need to focus on the main aim which is to stay in the Premier League and when the FA Cup comes around, try and win games with good performances, we have to be ready as a club to accept that."
Next up for Everton, a trip to the Vitality Stadium again as they take on the Cherries in the Premier League on Saturday.
