Angel Di Maria's wife has told Adil Rami he should learn "how to treat women better" - as the row over Emiliano Martinez's World Cup final antics intensifies.
Martinez played a crucial role in Argentina's penalty shootout victory against France in Qatar, which ended his country's 36-year wait for a third world title. Both Kingsley Coman and Aurelien Tchouameni failed to beat the Argentinian goalkeeper in the shootout.
Yet some of Martinez's actions have drawn criticism. The Aston Villa stopper put his Golden Glove trophy on his crotch during the trophy presentation and held a baby doll with Kylian Mbappe's face on during a parade. Rami was among those to slam him.
Rami was part of the France squad that won the World Cup in Russia and was not happy with Martinez's antics, as many of the 2018 squad were involved in this year's tournament. Rami wrote on Instagram: "The biggest son of a b**** in football. The most hated man."
Di Maria, who scored in Argentina's win against France, was quick to defend his team-mate. He replied: "El Dibu [Martinez] is the best goalkeeper in the world. Go cry elsewhere."
Rami then replied to Di Maria by posting a screenshot of a tweet that contained pictures of Di Maria crying. He added: "Can you teach me? When you lose, when you win, when you leave a club, when you see this tweet."

That led to Di Maria's wife Jorgelina replying: "Angel can teach you how to cry, how to handle a woman and how to score a goal in finals! Happy new year genius."
Rami has since replied: "Well then, Jorgelina. He teaches me to cry and you teach him the news."
While not explicitly references by Jorgelina, it appears her response could be in regards to Rami's previous relationship with American actress Pamela Anderson. Former Baywatch actress Anderson launched a blistering social media attack on the Frenchman after their relationship ended in 2019, labelling him a "monster" and accusing him of living a "double life" by cheating on her with his ex, Sidonie Biemont.
Among her accusations, Anderson also claimed Rami had "hurt me and threatened me many times". Rami hit back at those allegations in October 2020 dismissing Anderson's comments.
"She wanted to crush me. She never filed a complaint because none of that ever happened," he said. "I have videos and photos that can disprove what she said. It's over and I no longer want to be related to her."
Martinez has ruffled several feathers with his World Cup antics. Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira, who was part of the France squad that won the World Cup in 1998, has said: "That was a stupid decision, I think, from Martinez to do that."
Villa boss Unai Emery has confirmed he will speak to Martinez about his antics on his return from international duty. Emery has said: "When you have big emotion, sometimes it is difficult to control it. I will speak to him next week about some celebrations."
