That defeat in east London saw the Reds drop down to fourth spot in the league, just one spot above Saturday's visitors.
Arsenal are the form team in the Premier League right now having enjoyed a run of eight matches without a defeat that has put them up to fifth in the table.
However, if that run is to continue this weekend they'll certainly need to be on top of their game.
Liverpool team news
Manager Jurgen Klopp could be without as many as eight first team players for the visit of Arsenal this weekend.
Defender Andy Robertson is a major doubt for Liverpool after being forced off during Scotland's clash with Denmark on Monday evening.
Captain Jordan Henderson and forward Sadio Mane are also likely to miss out through while away with England and Senegal respectively.
Roberto Firmino is ruled out for a number of weeks, as is Harvey Elliott who continues to step up his recovery from a long-term ankle problem.
James Milner and Naby Keita could also miss out, while Curtis Jones and Joe Gomez could return.
How Liverpool could line up
Should Klopp be without all of his injured stars it means that Liverpool could have a distinctly different look against the Gunners.
Kostas Tsimikas could replace Robertson at left-back, while Thiago Alcantara could be the man to replace Jordan Henderson if he's ruled out.
In attack the absence of Mane and Firmino could lead Divock Origi to join Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah in their attacking trio.
Arsenal team news
Arsenal look set to be without Sead Kolasinac and Granit Xhaka for the clash with Liverpool.
The full-back suffered a nasty looking injury while away on international duty, while Xhaka is expected to be out for another month at least.
Thomas Partey is also a doubt having missed both of Ghana's fixtures over the last week or so.
How Arsenal could line up
Manager Mikel Arteta could name a similar side to that which faced Watford shortly before the international break.
With Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey likely to miss out it means that Ainsley Maitland-Niles could join Sambi Lokonga in central midfield, while England stars Aaron Ramsdale, Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka are also expected to start.
After featuring for Scotland against Denmark it's also likely that Kieran Tierney will return and reclaim his place from Nuno Tavares.
