League One side Wigan Athletic enjoyed a profitable transfer deadline day.
They not only brought two players into the club but also scooped a much welcomed seven-figure boost to the coffers.
That is thanks to Dan Burn's deadline day transfer from Brighton and Hove Albion to Newcastle United.
Burn, 29, swapped the Seagulls for the Magpies in a switch worth £13million. And thanks to a sell-on clause inserted into his previous contract with Athletic, the Latics are looking at a cash injection to the tune of roughly £1.5m.
The clause was negotiated by Wigan's then-CEO Jonathan Jackson, in the deal that saw the boyhood Newcastle fan move to Brighton for up to £4m in the summer of 2018.

Reports suggest Wigan are in line for a share of between 15 and 20 per cent of any profit made by Albion. That would equate to a fee of between £1.35m and £1.8m.
Burn spent two seasons with Athletic, after joining them on a free after leaving Fulham. He helped the club to the League One title in 2018.
He was then signed by Brighton but loaned back out to his former club for the first part of the campaign.
He has since become an established figure with Albion and his move to Tyneside is a return to his hometown club.
Burn not only grew up supporting the Magpies but was part of the youth set-up before being released aged 11.
He has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract at St James Park and was the fifth and final signing of a busy window for Eddie Howe's side in January, as they look to fend off the threat of relegation.
Burn said: "I'm buzzing to be here. I never thought I'd be in this position so to be a Newcastle player and to be around St. James' Park, it's something I've dreamt of since I was a kid.
"I can't wait to step out in the shirt and to see what it feels like. From sitting in the East Stand as a kid to now, it's crazy. I'm excited to get started."
Another welcome boost for Wigan was former striker Kieffer Moore's transfer to Bournemouth.
Moore was sold by Wigan to Cardiff in the summer of 2020 for around £1.85million. The clause relating to Moore's sell-on fee is thought to be around the 10 per cent mark.
Deadline day saw Bournemouth shell out around £3m for the giant Welshman, which represents another significant six-figure boost for Wigan.
As well as those two cash injections, Leam Richardson added St Mirren's Jamie McGrath to their ranks.
The Republic of Ireland international signed a two-and-a-half year deal after moving for an undisclosed fee. He swaps places with Jordan Jones, who Wigan have sent on loan to the Scottish Premiership side.
Glen Rea also arrived at the DW Stadium, signing on loan from Championship side Luton.
