One of three unbeaten teams after five matches, Cologne have nothing to fear. The Billy Goats came from behind to beat Wolfsburg 4-2 last time out, adding to the win over Schalke and draws with RB Leipzig, Eintracht Frankfurt and VfB Stuttgart, and climbing to sixth in the table. Florian Kainz had a hand in three of Cologne's goals in Wolfsburg, but summer signing Steffen Tigges drew a blank on his second start for the club. Steffen Baumgart stuck with his winning formula in the 1-1 draw with Nice in the UEFA Europa Conference League on Thursday, so may well rotate in some positions at the weekend. Forwards Sargis Adamyan and Florian Dietz are among the candidates to come in.
Urs Fischer's Union were also in action on Thursday, playing Belgium's Union Saint-Gilloise in the UEFA Europa League. Japanese midfielder Genki Haraguchi was preferred to Morten Thorsby in the only change from the 1-1 draw with Bayern Munich - a result which extended Die Eisernen's unbeaten run in the Bundesliga to 12 matches - but Jordan missed out for the second game in a row. The USMNT forward, who has two goals and two assists in his four Bundesliga appearances to date, remains touch and go. Should he miss out, Kevin Behrens can be expected to continue in attack alongside this season's five-goal joint-top scorer Sheraldo Becker.
