For the first time in 30 years, the Blues have not managed to score a goal in three Premier League games and four games in all competitions.

In total in the top-flight, they have drawn a blank in 12 different games which is already their most in a single campaign.
Frank Lampard will be aiming to see his side get some luck in front of goal as they welcome the Europe-chasing Seagulls.
Roberto De Zerbi has his men only a point behind the top six and they would be in the midst of the battle for the Champions League spots if it wasn't for a controversial defeat against Tottenham.

During that loss, De Zerbi was sent off, however, Brighton are still awaiting a verdict from the FA as to whether it will be upheld which would mean a one-game ban from the touchline.

Chelsea vs Brighton: What has been said?
Brighton manager De Zerbi believes that Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk will improve at Chelsea after making a rough start at the club.
Mudryk played under the Italian at Shakhtar Donetsk before both made the move to the Premier League.
Speaking exclusively to talkSPORT, De Zerbi said: "Mudryk is a top player and I think for him, it's difficult to start in another country, in another team.

Chelsea have lost just three of their last 18 home Premier League games under Frank Lampard (W11 D4), with those defeats coming against Man Utd (0-2 in February 2020), Liverpool (0-2 in September 2020) and Man City (1-3 in January 2021 - Lampard's last home league game in charge of the club).
Brighton's only league win in 15 league matches (D4 L10) against Chelsea was in this season's reverse fixture, winning 4-1 at the Amex Stadium. The Seagulls hadn't led for a single minute in any of their 10 Premier League games against Chelsea before that win.
Chelsea have never lost a home league game against Brighton and Hove Albion, conceding just once in seven previous meetings at Stamford Bridge (W5 D2).
