Chelsea hero Crespo looks completely different replacing iconic long locks

The 48-year-old spent five years at Stamford Bridge, and fans would certainly do well to recognise their ex-star should they come across him.

Crespo previously donned a headband nestled amongst his trademark long tousled locks during his playing days in west London.

The Argentinian's look these days is certainly a far cry from his time with Chelsea, despite cutting a dashing figure.

Crespo joined Chelsea in a £16.8million deal from Inter Milan in 2003, when Claudio Ranieri was in charge.

He managed 10 goals in 18 appearances in his first season and is most notably remembered for his goals on loan at AC Milan in the 2005 Champions League final.

The Buenos Aires-born star hit a double and chipped Jerzy Dudek with his second, making it 3-0 to the Serie A giants before Liverpool's unforgettable comeback.

He would later go on to play for Inter Milan, Genoa, and Parma in the Italian top flight.

Having hung up his boots for good in 2012, Crespo now has a sharper look than ever before.

The former Lazio and AC Milan forward is now in charge of Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates and has short grey hair.

Crespo previously revealed his aim is to manage in England, suggesting fans could get a glimpse of his transformation in the near future.

"I was very happy playing in England, going to training, very happy with the fans," he told The Daily Mail in 2020.
