The Blues face the Bundesliga outfit at the home of MLS side Chicago Fire in their last pre-season tour outing in America.
But supporters voiced their concern ahead of the game, as they blasted the 'dangerous' pitch.
The grass at Soldier Field could be seen looking very patchy and dry, which sent social media into a meltdown.
Fans were quick to express their fear that one of their players could pick up an injury so soon to the start of the new Premier League season.
Replying to a picture on social media, one user tweeted: "This is horrendous. If we come away with injuries from our last pre-season game due to this."
