Chelsea booked their place in the Carabao Cup semi-finals after beating Newcastle on penalties at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues looked to be heading out of the competition in stoppage time as the visitors defended their 1-0 lead which they claimed through Callum Wilson.

However, an error from Kieran Trippier handed Mykhailo Mudryk a free shot on goal to equalise late on and send the game to penalties.

Mauricio Pochettino's side then went on to score all of their spot-kicks while Trippier and Matt Ritchie missed to send the hosts through.
