Puel risked the fury of the fans when he said he was under 'no pressure' just one day before the game.

A day later and Puel was still in charge of the club and the supporters were furious.

They unveiled a banner that read: "We've had enough talk, you're making us crack."

Flares rained down on the pitch just before kick-off and the game could not start.

The players were taken back down the tunnel, with pictures showing riot police guarding the entrance to stop any supporters from confronting the manager.

The game did eventually get underway at around 9pm, but things went from bad to worse.

Angers took the lead after 29 minutes, with it looking like another poor night for the French club.
