The eyes of the footballing world were focused on Madrid on Monday for the 'Legends' event that brought together not only big names in the sport, but also more than half a thousand historical relics of the beautiful game.
Among those who attended the first group of the 'Legends' project was Iker Casillas, to whom Real Madrid and the Spanish national team owe a great deal of gratitude to.
The former Real Madrid goalkeeper had time to assess the current football news during the presentation of the museum, and focused mainly on the transfer market, in which Real Madrid are already leading the way in terms of new signings for the coming season.
Los Blancos have secured deals for former Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger and French midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni from Monaco.
"I think they are very good reinforcements. [Antonio] Rudiger seems very important to me in terms of maintaining a solid back line so that the team can consolidate," said Casillas.
"Everything is still too recent, with the two titles won, to think about next season."
However, the press wanted to know Casillas' opinion on whether his former team needs to strengthen in other areas, such as Karim Benzema's position.
"The squad was well formed last season. It's not a question of demanding much more. You have to value what has been done this past season," he said.
