Eduardo Camavinga joined Real Madrid's training sessions at Valdebebas on Saturday to train under Carlo Ancelotti. It didn't take long for Antonio Pintus to see that the Frenchman has done his homework.
His good form has been surprising, but it is not surprising in view of the plan that the midfielder has followed throughout the holidays.
Wherever the player has gone, he has had a physio, a physical trainer to supervise his training sessions and a cook by his side.
It is not strange either because he already had them during his time at Stade Rennes and brought them to Madrid when he signed for the club.
He doesn't want a repeat of what happened last summer. It was his first day at Valdebebas and he didn't know what awaited him under Pintus.
As he confessed sometime later in an interview, the training session was a nightmare: "On my first training session, I had a bad time physically. I think I almost threw up, we did a lot of things, but I adapted", he commented.
It will be Camavinga's second season at Real Madrid, in which the player wants to maintain this upward trend.
He struggled to break in under Ancelotti, but at the decisive moment of the campaign he ended up playing a more than relevant role.
For Camavinga it is an important year. He has come here at full strength because he is confident that it will be the year of his confirmation.
He knows that he has tough competition, especially with the arrival of Aurelien Tchouameni, but he knows that his dream of playing in the World Cup in Qatar with France in November is possible, but it logically depends on having some continuity with Madrid.
