Rodgers came close to leading Liverpool to the Premier League title and then did go on to win seven trophies with Celtic.
He led Leicester to the FA Cup last season and has consistently got them fighting for the top European places.
But when it comes to the competitions themselves, he is yet to manage a last-16 match in either the Champions League or Europa League.
Leicester's Europa League campaign was the eighth time he has managed a club in Europe, but his record is dismal.
The Foxes went into the final group game top, but a 3-2 defeat to Napoli and Spartak Moscow beating Legia Warsaw saw them crash out and drop down to the Europa Conference League.
It is not the first time the 48-year-old has been on the wrong end of a poor result in Europe.
His first season at Liverpool saw the Reds qualify top of their Europa League group, before losing in the last-32 to Zenit.
In the 2014/15 season, Rodgers' side finished third in their Champions League group and then crashed out of the Europa League at the next stage.
With Celtic, he endured tough Champions League groups finishing third and fourth. Again, he struggled to get his side any further in the competition.
Leicester did manage to get out of the group last season in the Europa League, but were well beaten by Slavia Prague in the next round.
The Europa Conference League now beckons for Rodgers and the Foxes.
After the defeat to Napoli, Rodgers said: "I've got to be honest, I don't even know what the competition is.
"I was focused on the Europa League, winning this group, at the very least finishing second."
